Tem uma \u00e1rea de 42\u00a0km\u00b2 e dimens\u00f5es norte-sul de 12,5\u00a0km (entre a Ponta Mazondue, a norte, e a Ponta Torres, a sul) e este-oeste de 7\u00a0km. Est\u00e1 situada a 32\u00a0km a leste da cidade de Maputo, de cujo munic\u00edpio faz parte administrativamente, constituindo um distrito municipal, o distrito
