Nesta \u00e1rea, contribui ainda para o desenvolvimento de compet\u00eancias e conhecimento cient\u00edfico.<\/p><p>As actividades de Investiga\u00e7\u00e3o na Faculdade de Ci\u00eancias s\u00e3o coordenadas por um Director-Adjunto, a n\u00edvel da Direc\u00e7\u00e3o, e est\u00e3o presentes em cada um dos Departamentos Acad\u00e9micos e Centros.<\/p><p>Cada uma destas unidades \u00e9 respons\u00e1vel por \u00e1reas espec\u00edficas de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o, que podem ser de investiga\u00e7\u00e3o pura ou aplicada. Entretanto, muitos dos projectos e programas desenvolvidos neste \u00e2mbito s\u00e3o de natureza multidisciplinar, procurando envolver colegas de v\u00e1rias unidades org\u00e2nicas da FC, de outras Faculdades da UEM ou mesmo institui\u00e7\u00f5es externas \u00e0 UEM, nacionais e\/ou estrangeiras.<\/p><p>Anualmente a Faculdade de Cie\u0302ncias projecta, avalia e aprova trabalhos de investiga\u00e7a\u0303o inseridos nas actividades dos Departamentos Acade\u0301micos e do Centro de Investiga\u00e7a\u0303o.<\/p><p>Os diferentes projectos de investiga\u00e7a\u0303o sa\u0303o concebidos e desenvolvidos por docentes e investigadores nos Departamentos e em suas a\u0301reas\/linhas, ou mesmo grupos de Investiga\u00e7a\u0303o.<\/p><p>A FC realiza tambe\u0301m a investiga\u00e7a\u0303o atrave\u0301s dos seus va\u0301rios Programas de Po\u0301s Gradua\u00e7a\u0303o, que incluem os Cursos de Mestrado e Doutoramento distribu\u0131\u0301dos pelos cinco Departamentos Acade\u0301micos.<\/p><p>Anualmente os docentes e investigadores participam, a n\u0131\u0301vel local, nacional e internacional, em confere\u0302ncias, semina\u0301rios e workshops onde apresentam os resultados dos seus trabalhos de pesquisa.<\/p><p>Os docentes e investigadores da Faculdade de Cie\u0302ncias publicam os resultados dos seus trabalhos de pesquisa em diferentes o\u0301rga\u0303os de comunica\u00e7a\u0303o acade\u0301mica de renome nacional, internacional e acreditados (Jornais, Revistas, entre
